A: Studio Moyna is a one-stop shop for a variety of food photography styles and services. As a commercial food photographer, we first seek to understand your brand, audience, creative needs, and marketing goals. We then use this information to develop a branded color palette and moodboard, handpick props and backdrops, and tailor the lighting and editing style to capture high converting content customized to your brand. Our goal is to help you grow!
We also do editorial work, advertising campaigns and more. In the past we've photographed product packaging, recipes, menus, cookbooks, coffee shops, restaurants, catering companies, food events, cooking classes, and more. Reach out to us to learn more about how we can serve your needs!

A: Yes! We offer basic food motion services which includes stop-motion videos, recipe videos, and behind-the-scenes content. We love creating engaging, drool-worthy videos that complement your visual assets!

A: Food styling is the art of arranging food so it looks its best on camera. It combines creativity with culinary skills and attention to detail (along with a few food styling tricks!) to emphasize the foods amazing flavor.

A: This is all based on the project scope! For smaller, more simple projects, Ashley does the photography and the food styling, and styling is included at no extra charge. For larger, more complex projects, someone on our team will work alongside Ashley to do the styling while she's is shooting, as this is most efficient and leads to the best results!
We also offer our food styling services as a one-off service, so if you're looking for a food stylist, please keep us in mind. Alternatively, if you like working with a specific food stylist, we are happy to work with them too. Long story short, we are flexible!

A: Pricing varies greatly based on the project scope, number of images needed, types of conent, usage and licensing needs, shoot location, and more. Reach out for a custom quote based on your project's unique needs!

A: Yes! All Studio Moyna clients get full access to our continuously growing prop and background collection. If there are specific props you'd like to include in the shoot, please let us know!

A: Photoshoots take place in a variety of locations based on the client's needs. We travel on-site to shoot on location (like at restaurants) or can rent out a local studio, but most commonly, we use our studio!

A: Absolutely! We work with clients around the country and world. Clients are always welcome to attend the shoot in-person to provide input and feedback, however we can also Zoom or call clients in from anywhere to do the same!

A: Yes! I love packing my (camera) bag and heading somewhere new. Please keep in mind, if we come to you, travel fees will apply and be included in your custom quote.

A: Licensing is essentially when the client pays a photographer a licensing fee to "rent" the images for a specific use (e.g. print, digital, ads). The usage terms and license details are typically laid out in the contract and are industry standard.

A: The initial deposit (downpayment) is required to secure your booking. It also covers the cost of creative direction and pre-production as well as a portion of the ingredients and supplies.

A: A mood board helps visually convey the look and feel that will be captured during the shoot (e.g. dark + moody, bright + colorful, retro, etc). We will create one based on the brand assets shared with us, and send it over pre-shoot to make sure we're aligned on the shoot's creative direction.

A. This is where the fun begins! We'll slowly work through the agreed upon shot list, prepping the food, pulling props, adjusting lighting, and styling each scene as we go! Good food and good times are guaranteed!

A: Our typical turnaround time is 2 weeks! If you need your edited images sooner, we offer rush delivery for a small fee.

A: First of all, thank you for crediting us! If you're sharing the images we captured on social media, digitally, or in print, please credit the photos with the photographer's name (in this case, Ashley Moyna Schwickert) and business name (Studio Moyna). For social media, please tag us @studiomoyna in the post or story or include photographer credit in the caption!

A. Yes! We love working with clients on retainer. It's a win-win! We offer monthly and quarterly packages for up to 1 year. Perks include priority scheduling, faster turnaround time, consistent and recognizable brand visuals, and a discounted rate.
