Midwest hazelnuts take center stage

The American Hazelnut Company was looking for creative, fresh content for their website refresh including updated product shots to show off their new hazelnut oil packaging, lifestyle images showcasing the heart-healthy goodness that is the American hazelnut, and fresh recipe photographs, displaying the wide variety of uses for their hazelnut products including the hazelnuts themselves, hazelnut flour, and hazelnut oil. Preparation for the three day shoot included honing in on the brand look and feel, developing a mood board and shot list, and gathering folksy, yet elegant farmhouse-inspired props like Ball jars, crocks, wooden bowls, and vintage spoons. Day 1 included shooting product shots on a white sweep background for use on e-commerce platforms and sales pages. Day 2 was full day of recipe shots, culminating in capturing a full table spread "dinner party". And the final shoot day, day 3, was focused on capturing the hazelnut products in a variety of ways including the flour spilling out of a bag, HazelSnackers with flavor cues surrounding them, hands holding hazelnuts and more. Clients typically get a lot of use out of these shots, as they aren't too specific. AHC could use these photos as filler shots throughout their new site. After receiving the photos back, AHC's marketing manager Emma said "I can't overstate how amazing working with Ashley was. I was continually impressed by her vision, flexibility, creativity, and aesthetic eye. She made our products shine." Thanks Emma! Check out the updated website here.
